JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Clerical -Revenue Management

I. JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision provide clerical and administrative support. Compile and maintain records of the customer master file, performing a variety of clerical duties and utilizing knowledge of office systems and procedures. Maintain positive customer relations in response to calls.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Copy data and compile records and reports. Tabulate and post data into computer system. Record orders for service. Answer phones and provide customer assistance in response to inquiries. Refer to appropriate personnel as needed. May investigate customer complaints. May adjust complaints.
2. Operate office machines, such as calculating, and duplicating machines. Use mainframe computer terminal or personal computer for access to and entry of data.
3. Investigate customer complaints about service, billing, or credit rating. Examine records, such as bills, computer printouts, bills of lading, and related documents and correspondence. Examine pertinent information to determine accuracy of customer complaint and to determine responsibility for errors.
III. REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic computer literacy with ability to access mainframe computer data for information retrieval and/or update.
2. Effective organizational and prioritization skills for managing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
3. Analytical and problem solving skills.
IV. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in the transportation industry.
