Job Summary
This position will provide on-site / off-site hardware, software and telephone support for Thin Client and Personal Computers at all Nortek Air Solutions locations.
Job Responsibilities
Configure, test and install new, and/or upgrade existing software and hardware.
Train / Orient the user on capabilities of new hardware and software at installation.
Maintain knowledge of current hardware / software including Nortek Air Solutions standards. This would include knowledge of PC configurations and Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
Working knowledge of Active Directory and user account set up.
Grow in familiarity with Nortek Global HVAC operations.
Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware / software configuration problems.
Administration Skills including, but not limited to, entering and updating work order information and creating IT purchase orders.
Provide website and phone support.
Monitor any harmful attacks such as viruses, hacking, Spyware, etc. while taking preventative steps to minimize disruption.
Maintains an attitude which consistently represents the organizational culture, including: the mission, vision and core attributes
Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager
Supports Lean Business Enterprise initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.
Job Qualifications
Required:
A
Certification and Microsoft Certification (MCP or equivalent) required.
Experience with PC hardware and software support in a networked environment.
Knowledge of Windows 7/8/10 and Microsoft Office 2013/16 Suite of applications.
This position will be expected to travel to Nortek Air Solutions locations when required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have experience configuring personal computers and thin client devices operating in a networked environment.
Preferred:
Four year degree or two year technical degree preferred. Minimum 2 years' Helpdesk experience required.
Basic networking trouble shooting skills (TCP/IP, LAN, and Wireless) desired.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
